Clinical Disclaimer

MindWork Tools is an educational resource. It is not therapy, it is not a diagnosis, and it is not a substitute for working with a qualified mental health professional.

Educational use only

The worksheets, articles, and exercises on this site are intended to support mental health education and self-directed practice. They draw on widely-taught techniques from cognitive-behavioral therapy and related evidence-based approaches. They are not personalized clinical advice. Reading or completing a worksheet does not establish a therapist-client relationship with anyone, and the content should not be relied on as a substitute for advice from a licensed professional who knows your history.

Use with a clinician

Many of the techniques described here — particularly exposure work, trauma-related exercises, and anything that involves examining intense emotions — are most safely and effectively done with the support of a licensed therapist. If you are working through difficult material on your own and notice that it is making things worse rather than better, please pause and seek professional support.

Crisis

If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, thoughts of harming yourself or others, or any other emergency, please use crisis resources rather than this website. In the United States, call or text 988 for the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, text HOME to 741741 for the Crisis Text Line, or call 911. Outside the United States, contact your local emergency number or a crisis line in your country.

Accuracy and currency

We do our best to keep content accurate and aligned with current best practices, but the field evolves and we are a small team. If you spot something that is out of date or incorrect, please tell us through the contact page so we can address it.

For clinicians

Clinicians are welcome to print, adapt, and use these worksheets in their practice. We ask only that you exercise your professional judgment about which worksheet fits which client and avoid using techniques outside your scope of competence. Where appropriate, refer clients to the original primary literature.
